Chem I: Tentative Course Outline

A college prep course designed for students to learn the major concepts and themes of chemistry through laboratory and field experiences.  This class provides an interdisciplinary systems approach to the study of chemical reactions, gas laws, quantitative measurement, electron configuration, formula writing, and bonding theory as they relate to human activities. Students demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and application of basic principles and concepts of the Washington State Science Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs) in chemistry.
